
wedding stationary…what’s the order? did i forget something?
I’m getting married in october. I don’t know about all the wedding stationary that goes…let me know if i missed something…
1. save the date or engagement announcement, is this the same?
2. Wedding invitations
3. Wedding program
4. Thank you notes
Save the dates are sent before the invites, usually for out of town guests to give them more time to make arrangements. Save the dates and engagement annoucements are a waste of money. You do not need them.
Wedding programs are another unneccessary item, unless you have a large wedding party (ie. musicians, readers…) people you would like to acknowledge as part of your wedding.
Thank you’s ARE neccessary and need to be sent out no more than 2 weeks after the wedding.
