I need a Christian perspective on a relationship, anyone?
I have had a great relationship with a girl, it has gone very well. But we have both been thinking that God probably didn’t us to be so close emotionally before marrage (nothing physical, I haven’t even kissed her). The only way for us to “back up” is if we don’t talk for a while. So I guess my question is:
Is losing the relationship worth saving ourselves emotionally?
Look don’t worry about whether God would want you to be emotionally close.. think of the positives, God has brought you both together, it a good things that you are bonding emotionally before you marry, how else would you know that you are meant to be, Do you not think God would want you to be happy. Also it has to be said, its not worth losing a relationship based on whether or not you think God might want you to save yourself emotionally, many christians believe in saving yourself physically, still debatable whether that is actually a true christian belief as this was a practice adopted over 1300 years after christ, anyway that is a different issue, but nowhere in the bible does it even hint that you should not feel for another on an emotional level in fact if anything it is encouraged,.
So stop dwelling and worrying and start enjoying the life that God has given you, and enjoy the time you spend with this girl and think how lucky you are!
And all the best with whatever your decision.
Someone above me, Jao i think Wrote the folowing,…
Maybe you should look at this, it’s a christian article on “What is an appropriate level of intimacy before marriage?”

Then I recommend you pray about this, God loves his children and will answer their prayers in accordance(1 John 5:14-15) to his will. If he doesn’t answer it first keep on trying, remember the parable in (Luke 18:1-7) and what Paul said in (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
I also believe this article might help too, http://www.gotquestions.org/difference-d…
REMEMBER JESUS ALSO TAUGHT THAT YOU WILL FEEL IN YOUR HEART WHAT IS RIGHT! listen to your inner voice, you will know what you should do,, dont put to much faith in papers published by others etc, they are dictated by their own beliefs which are based on their own interpretation of the bible, have a look within yourself and talk with your “Girlfriend” between you and maybe some guidance from god you will choose the right path!
